Students intending to graduate spring 2012 are required to meet the Dec. 3 application deadline. Applications for spring graduation are currently being accepted in the Welcome Center located in Main Campus Building. Graduation coordinator Dolores Schritchfield said her department is accepting applications for spring graduation until Dec. 2.
The spring graduation application fee payment deadline is Jan. 19. The cost of the application is $35.
Students are encouraged to pick up a graduation checklist and frequently asked graduation and commencement questions handout in the Welcome Center as a graduation guide.
In addition to meeting the required application date, students can make additional preparations, said Career Services Advisor Bennett Grey.
Grey suggest students stop by career services for advisement, available in Main Campus Building, Room 125 and Brooks City Base Campus, Room 148.
“Students should visit career services, events sponsored by the career services and go to the career center website often to check on job postings and announcements,” he said. The career services office on campus provides counseling, resume writing, professional etiquette training and other services to help students.
As graduation gets closer there are many opportunities left for students to get the career help they need.
“It is never too early to get involved,” said Grey.
