The west student parking lot at Main Campus was closed on Dec. 17 but will reopen on Jan. 15, campus officials said. Spring classes will begin the following day on Jan. 16.

University Police Department Sergeant Robert Lopez said that the 29 day closure of the lot was necessary in order to extend utility services to the construction sites of the Central Academic Building and the Patriots’ Casa.

While access to the west lot remains closed, students are allowed to park in the east lot and will not be cited.

Additional parking is also located along University Way and Verano Parkway. For additional information on parking procedures and regulations, call UPD at (210) 784-1900.

The University Police Department is located in Room 120 of Main Campus and in Room 156 of Brooks City-Base Campus.
