Jerry Quijano's enthusiasm for storytelling earned him a spot to attend the 2016 Podcast Movement in Chicago where he received instruction on crafting audio stories. He was selected as an alternate for NPR's Next Generation public radio training. Jerry envisions working in public radio in a large market and would like to become a producer on WBEZ’s This American Life. He serves as assistant editor of The Mesquite and producer for "Magnified," a podcast production.
Ruben Betancourt is a senior Communication major and a Spanish minor at Texas A&M-San Antonio. Ruben is the Assistant Editor for The Mesquite and works part-time at the Alamo Colleges District Business Office, as an Accounts Receivable Assistant. He is also a member of the National Leadership and Success Society. He enjoys the performing arts and he enjoys learning new languages. He plans to work in the public relations field locally and in the future, he plans to live abroad and work in international PR.
Miguel Garcia is a junior communications major working as independent producer on both feature projects and corporate partnerships. He works as a creative consultant specializing in video production and creative editorial. His background includes major feature work, art direction, film production work in Los Angeles and small independent film.
