Kevin Castro is a senior communication major at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. He currently works as Editor-in-Chief for the Mesquite and previously as Co-Editor-in-Chief for El Espejo magazine. In his free time, he enjoys basketball, podcasting, photography and traveling. Kevin plans to pursue a career in journalism when he graduates.
Armando Villarreal III is a senior communication major at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and Managing Editor for The Mesquite. Armando works for a local wholesale produce and restaurant equipment company. He received his associate degrees in culinary arts from St. Philip’s College in 2015 and in history from San Antonio College in 2018. He loves to travel, try new foods and dining out at unique restaurants. Armando plans to work in media relations.
Brigid Cooley is a junior Communications major at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and assistant editor for the Mesquite. Brigid received her associate of arts from Northwest Vista Community College in December of 2018. In her free time, she can be found performing original poetry and acting on stages around San Antonio. She is the founder of Page-to-Stage Theatre Co., an inter-generational theater group she hopes to turn into a non-profit organization.
Victoria Martinez is a senior Communications major with a minor in Sociology at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and photo editor for the Mesquite. Victoria received an associate degree in journalism from Palo Alto College in spring 2017. Her biggest passion is photography and capturing candid moments. She hopes to expand her skills while in college and build her own photography studio. Her goals after graduation in spring 2020 is to become a social media specialist for a local business or company and continue her photography business. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her boyfriend, best friends, and going out dancing to latin music.
Daniella Aldaco is a senior Communications major with a minor in Sociology at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Daniella is the social media editor for the Mesquite. She is a graduate of Palo Alto College. She hopes to work in Public Relations when she graduates. Daniella loves fashion, coffee and scary movies. One of her goals is to begin a fashion blog on the side of doing public relations. In her free time, she enjoys relaxing at home with her three dogs.
Jose de la Rosa is junior at Texas A&M University-San Antonio majoring in communication. He is a native of Laredo, Texas, where he began his studies at Texas A&M International University. In addition to attending school full-time, he works at Best Buy as a Digital Imaging sales consultant. In his spare time, he enjoys watching Texas Rangers games, photography and spending time with his girlfriend Magaly and their miniature-schnauzer Luna.
