The Mesquite, in conjunction with San Antonio Humane Society, posts a Pet of the Week for the campus community to meet adoptable pets in the San Antonio area.
Cheeky is a 5 year old Beagle mix who was taken in at our receiving facility at Animal Care Services. She is now here at the shelter waiting to meet her new family. Cheeky enjoys making new friends and will often greet visitors with a swift wag of her tail. Cheeky is also quite playful and enjoys playing tug-o-war and fetch. Cheeky will make a great addition to any family. Adopt Cheeky at the San Antonio Humane Society today and make a new friend for life! While Cheeky has already been spayed, please remember to spay/neuter your pets to help ensure every dog and cat born has a home waiting for them. According to the website, the adoption center hours are 12 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Sunday.Adoption fees: Dogs 25 pounds and under are $99 and 26 pounds and over $65. Cats are $30 to $50. This adoption fee includes: spay/neuter surgery, first set of vaccinations, microchip, de-wormer, flea and heartworm prevention, collar, tag, complimentary wellness exam within the first 5 days after adoption and 14 day complimentary follow up care at any one of the participating VCA animal hospitals, and 30 days Sheltercare insurance. In addition, you will receive a free starter bag of Science Diet pet food.
